The firm can undertake two types of promotional activities: Advertising and Public Relations (PR)

Advertising consists of purchased advertising in various media relating to specific products and to the firm's brand. Public Relations is an indirect form of promotion, centering on generating and communicating publicity via news, review articles, etc.
