The bigger and more complex your business, and the lower the motivation and skill level of your staff, the more administration staff you will need. The required number of administration staff are assigned automatically from your workforce, with the remaining staff working on the factory floor. The average salary levels of administration staff are much higher than factory floor staff (due to the inclusion of management salaries).
General Administration Staff
These staff include the CEO, finance and accounts department and other support departments. The more products you have, the more you produce, the more stores are stocking your products, the more staff you will require.
Marketing & Sales Administration Staff
These staff are required to perform the marketing function and manage the sales force. The more products you have and the more stores are stocking your products, the more staff you will require.
Production Administration Staff
These staff are required to coordinate the production process: liaising with suppliers, production scheduling etc. The more products you have, the more you produce and the more batches you run (smaller batch sizes) the more staff will be required.
